Chester Skywatch 2020! Chester Academy along with the New Hampshire Astronomical Society is pleased to announce the first annual SkyWatch Night to be held at Wason Pond in Chester NH on January 28th. The NHAS will first be holding an informal gathering to go over what people might be able to see through the telescopes, in the Clubhouse starting at 7pm. The viewing of the night sky begins around 7:30 in the field parking lot. In case of inclement weather, there is a backup date of January 30th at the same time. The event is free, but the 8th grade will be selling hot beverages and snacks to help raise money for their trip to DC. Hope to see YOU there!
Doodle for Google Contest Doodle for Google contest. This years theme is "I Show Kindness By..." See your teacher for the contest form. Mrs. Farrenkopf is available to come to talk with students about this project. All submissions are due to Mrs. Farrenkopf no later than March 2 on the Original Submission form with parent signature.
Great Basketball News! A boy on the basketball team scored his 1000 career point in the game against Epping on Jan. 13th. This feat has not been accomplished in 31 years. Congratulations on this great accomplishment! The boys and girls teams have each only lost one game this year. They are each having great seasons.
Spelling Bee Chester Academy's school-wide Spelling Bee will take place after school on Tuesday, January 21st from 3:30-4:30 in the Library. Classroom bee winners should have received an invite to compete. If students in the bee, or their teachers/parents have any questions please see Miss Cleveland.
Updated Spring Musical Information Auditions for this year’s Spring Musical, Peter Pan Jr, are Wednesday, January 22nd, and Thursday, January 23rd. Students in grades 1-3 and those interested in ensemble roles will be dismissed at 4:30, while those in grades 4-8 auditioning for solo roles will be dismissed at 5:00. Students in grades 4-8 can see a music teacher for an audition packet. Students in grades 1-3 do not have to prepare anything; but, must have turned in their audition form by Friday, January 17th.
Reflections Program The PTA is proud to share the results of the PTA Reflections program. Five students will be moving on to the regional competition being held at Hood Middle School. The PTA appreciates everybody's support.
